Then there's a link called My Web Page on the left. It has all the news about the book, plus a bunch of text I wrote for the website (my daughter has designed and put the webstie together).

Right now we're finishing up the editing process with the manuscript going back and forth between me and the editor. It's a difficult and stressful process, but I think the book can help a lot of people. And yes, not pushing beyond your energy envelope is essential! I still struggle with that. :)

Thanks for your kind words as well, Amy. I'm sorry you're in a similar situation, though I'm glad my writing helps in some small way. Loved the quote you sent me, too!

Cinderkeys - Yes, if I am out of water and can't get it myself (I have a fridge in my room), I will ask for it. But I've always been very independent, and asking for help is often hard for me. I don't like to trouble people. :) So, I just try to ask for the essentials, and if there's something I feel I can accomplish myself, I attempt to do it myself (e.g., I'll try to settle something by email first before asking my mom to make a phone call for me, etc). My mom does a lot for me already, so that's all I meant... that I try to make this as easy on my parents as possible, and they try to make this as easy on me as possible too.Laurelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01688914443102913569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1168792825239178484.post-418769500123892882010-03-23T12:41:28.564-07:002010-03-23T12:41:28.564-07:00Hi Laurel. I assume it was broken into small segments.

I too can't read very easily and have discovered the wonderful world of audiobooks. I've found that the right reader can make all the difference. Sometimes, I get books just because I like the reader. They're so much less expensive now that they can be downloaded from the Internet.

I also listen a lot to NPR. I like to joke that I can recite the schedule by memory.

We seem to spent the day in much the same way, although I'm a bit more functional than you are at this point. I did manage to write a book about chronic illness -- but it was a slow and difficult process, done with my laptop on the bed. I was just trying to make lemonade out lemons -- like you were doing when you gave testimony from the bed.

Rest up and we'll welcome your next postTonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05729837575450453607noreply@blogger.com
